While all my paintings are impressionistic expressions of my deep appreciation for all living creatures and my devotion to capturing a touch of their spirit on canvas, there is a special satisfaction that comes from creating a custom painting for someone. The venture is an enriching process of creativity, engaging the visions of both the artist and the client … with so much fun along the way!

We begin with a photograph, which I will crop to create a reference that is both a beautiful representation of the model and one that will result in a well-composed painting. After you have selected your pet’s pose, your decision regarding the size and shape of the painting will be easy.

When the composition has been approved, I will place an archival canvas on my easel, choose the paints, and start to work. The process will take 6 to 8 weeks. When I have reached a point towards the end, I will reach out to you with a photo of the progress for your feedback. 

 

This is you opportunity to tell me what you think. Does it capture the feel of your special pet? Was the subject somehow different in real life? A wetter nose? A fluffier tail? Your wishes will be incorporated into the painting until the piece meets your approval.

Only upon approval is you painting varnished, dried, and shipped to you. The painting will arrive unframed.

A 50% deposit is requested before painting begins, with the balance payable prior to shipping.
